Holidays

  • Holiday entitlement is 12 weeks in a year.
  • A teacher normally teaches for 40 weeks in the year.
  • Depending upon where you teach, you would probably have 3 terms divided by a week's half-term.
  • There is a longer holiday at the end of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.
  • The summer vacation is normally five or so weeks, allowing plenty of time for relaxation.
  • Teachers also have Bank Holiday entitlement.
