Welcome

If you want to know about teaching Religious Education this site is for you. Teaching RE is an exciting, challenging and varied career choice; being able to enthuse, educate and inspire young people is a privilege.
If you have graduate qualifications you think might not match those needed for entry to a PGCE course, then enhancement of your knowledge and understanding of the main belief traditions in the UK can also be found here. Access to the Subject Knowledge Enhancement Course (SKEC) is available through the site and after five very successful years, the SKEC continues to be very popular.
Although the government no longer provides a bursary for RE, there are other sources of support. For 2013-14, trainees in secondary RE could be eligible to apply to one of the Churcha place of worship or congregation College Trusts for a grant towards course expenses or living expenses. Candidates can check www.cstg.org.uk/acct for details of the trusts and foundations to which they can apply.
Our Contacts page means you can get in touch with us and gain valuable advice that is personal to you.
